In this world of quickly changing technology, it can be difficult to keep up with the technical requirements of social media. Use this guide to quickly reference the most popular Instagram sizes and dimensions.

For quick reference, here are the sizes and dimensions for various Instagram posts.
Portrait
1080 x 1350 for 4:5 Aspect Ratio
Landscape
1080 x 608 for 16:9 Aspect Ratio
Square
1080 x 1080 for 1:1 Aspect Ratio
Story
1080 x 1920 for 9:16 Aspect Ratio
* Video must be compressed with h.264 in .mp4 container.
* Frame rate should either be 23.976fps or 29.97fps.
* Resolutions shown are the highest Instagram stores on its servers.
Just set your timeline resolution to whichever format you prefer, then scale the video to fill the entire frame. You can then adjust the vertical and horizontal position to make sure the framing looks good.
